New Show System in Ireland
from January 2007
New Green Star System
The old point system no longer
exists. In order to become an Irish champion a dog must:
- win 7 Green Stars under 7 different judges
- at least 1 Green Star must be won after the age of 15 months
There is also the introduction
of FCI grading at all championship shows and only dogs graded Excellent
(or in case of puppies Very Promising) are allowed to compete for the Green
Star. Champions are eligible
to compete for the Green Stars. There is no longer any enhancement for Group
wins.
Points won under the old system
will be converted as follows:
1-5 points count as 1 GS
6-11 points count as 2 GSs
12-18 points count as 3 GSs
19-24 points count as 4 GSs
25-31 points count as 5 GSs
32 points and more count as 6 GSs
New Group System
IKC is joining FCI Group System (10
Groups).
Kerry Blue Terriers are listed in the Group III (Terriers)
